Travel Period: January 11 - 12, 2013
Destination: Around Davao CityFriday Night Ride

As we traversed R. Castillo St., a minor accident occured where two of the bikers collided on the rear wheel, luckily, no one was injured. We were joined by another 3 bikers at Alcantara and proceeded to Sasa. It was an easy ride since some of them are using a folding bikes while the rest were MTBs. We had a quick break a Panacan Depo and continue traversing the Diversion Road, this time with slowly ascending road up to Landmark. The steep part was between La Verna and Mamay road junction. Around past 8pm when we took our dinner on a roadside carenderia. While others have parted from the group after dinner, the rest continued to traverse Circumferential Road until Bankerohan and then to the city hall. Finally, a group shot was taken and then everyone went home, except me since I planned to stay at Jason's office for the ride the next morning.

I can't sleep that night and just spent the rest of the time watching videos on Youtube till morning, to name a few where clips from Tour de France and a documentary video of The Man Who Cycled the World. By 5am, we proceeded to McDo Bajada for the assembly and took our breakfast. It was James, Jan Gee, Jason, Ramil, Ronie and Rey (that's me) another JR ride edition this time. We proceeded to Milan, Buhangin and off to the trail. We traversed Tigatto, Waan bridge, Waan, Magtuod, Devils Trail, Langub and Shrine Hills.
Trail Ride Highlights
We encountered some bikers along the way and had a group shot at Waan bridge. Jason had his tire punctured with a broken glass and decided to take it to the nearest vulcanizing shop to have it fix since none of us brought tools and spare interior. We had a great time at the Devils trail, taking photos and recording videos from time to time. After exiting Langub, we climbed a short yet steep road in Shrine Hills then the rest were downhill. After the ride, we parted our ways and I went home and took a sleep, finally!

Summary
Just want to end this entry by a quote of "Learn to ride a bicycle. You will not regret it if you live." - Mark Twain, who at the same time authored my blog quote "Explore. Dream. Discover". Have a great ride everyone and keep safe.
